Sarbanes-Oxley Institute (SOX Institute) was formed in June 2003, less than a year after the Sarbanes-Oxley Act was signed by President Bush, with the goal of disseminating reliable information and training to industry professionals involved in (or who are looking to get involved in) Sarbanes-Oxley-related compliance activities.
With hundreds of members on four continents representing both industry and academia in the fields of Finance, Accounting, Ethics, Law, HR, Sales, Procurement, Operations and Technology, SOX Institute has become one of the most valued and respected sources of authoritative information pertaining to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Our members include professionals, managers, consultants, controllers and executives in Internal Audit, IS/IT Audit, ERP and other enterprise technologies, Legal Compliance and General Counsel, Finance and Accounting, Business Process Operations, and Information Technology.
SOX Institute establishes the industry standard for SOX compliance expertise and excellence in individuals and enterprises. It uses its place in the industry to provide training, certifications, resources and a forum for its members to interact, learn, grow and contribute to the Sarbanes-Oxley "Body of Knowledge" (SOXBoK™).
